Our Story

Ayurveda Sutra began with a conversation.

Over years of working with women across India and the United States, Shilpika Devaiah kept hearing the same concern: “I just want to know what I’m putting on my body.”

Women were looking for intimate products that felt gentle, ingredients they could understand, and claims they could trust. Instead, they found crowded shelves, confusing language, and one-size-fits-all formulas that did not reflect the ways women’s needs can change through life.

Raised in Coorg, South India, Shilpika grew up surrounded by a deep respect for plants, ritual, and the wisdom of everyday care. Her formal Ayurveda training and years of clinical practice shaped a belief that tradition and science do not need to compete. Ancient knowledge can be honored while modern standards of safety, transparency, and testing are upheld. Ayurveda Sutra was created in response. Drawing from classical Ayurvedic botanical wisdom, each formulation is developed with intention, clear ingredient disclosure, and modern clinical evaluation.

What began with intimate care is becoming a larger commitment to creating considered wellness rituals for women’s everyday lives - without fear, confusion, or empty promises.

Our mission

To make ancient wellness wisdom relevant, transparent, and useful for modern life.

We create plant-based formulations inspired by Ayurveda and made for women’s evolving needs. We believe wellness should not feel confusing, clinical, or out of reach. It should feel clear, empowering, and rooted in real knowledge.

Our commitment

Trust is earned.

That means intentionally chosen ingredients, clear communication, and product claims supported by evidence. We do not believe in fear-based marketing, exaggerated promises, or hiding behind vague language.

From Ayurvedic botanicals to modern testing, every Ayurveda Sutra formulation is created with transparency, evidence, and respect for the women who choose it.

Beyond the Bottle

Care should extend beyond the bottle.

As Ayurveda Sutra grows, we intend to support initiatives that expand access to menstrual education, feminine hygiene resources, and culturally respectful wellness education for women and adolescent girls.

We hope to work alongside organizations already doing meaningful, community-led work — supporting education, hygiene access, and conversations that too often go unspoken.

Because care should reach further than the products we make.
